From The Principal

Welcome to the Vedder Middle School webpage. I hope that this webpage will give you a snap-shot of life at our great school community.  A special welcome to all of the new Vedder families joining us this year, we will do everything possible to make the transition from elementary to the middle school life as stress free as possible.

 
We believe that successful student learning is a partnership between teacher, student, and parent. In order for individual students to achieve their intellectual potential, we believe that the student, the family, the school staff and the community share responsibility for learning success. There must be a commitment to consistent communication in the partnership between parents, students, and teachers. For learning to be effective, the student must be clear on what he or she is learning while the teacher must be clear on how the child learns best, and the parent is clear on what is being taught in the classroom. To this end, we will continue to strive to inform you in a timely manner about your child's education; successes, and challenges. Our monthly newsletter will communicate the myriad of planned activities and news about life at Vedder. Newsletters will be sent home once a month with your student, and we will also post them on this website. Please take the time to read the newsletters, as it will allow you to stay abreast with your child's educational experience at Vedder Middle.

Our commitment to you is that we will continue to create opportunities for your child to learn, grow and explore while guided by a caring network of supportive teachers in a physically, emotionally, and intellectually safe and supportive learning environment.
